This fight has been several weeks in the making, since Poirier and Chandler found themselves in a confrontation at UFC 276 in the crowd.
The pair have been exchanging barbs ever since, expressing interest in settling their differences inside the Octagon once and for all.
Now, they’ll get that chance on November 12. Poirier recently had a three-fight win streak snapped in December.
Charles Oliveira forced Poirier to submit in the third round of their UFC 269 bout in December for the lightweight title.
As for Chandler, he just ended a two-fight losing skid by picking up a great victory against Tony Ferguson.
Chandler caught Ferguson with a spectacular front kick to the face at UFC 274 in May. He was the first man to render Ferguson unconscious in his career.
Now, two of the most proven finishers in the lightweight division will go head-to-head for a shot to get back into the 155-pound title picture.
