Not even ‘the Drake curse’ could affect Jon Jones‘ chances of winning.
When it comes to combat sports, the Canadian rapper has been on a bad run lately in the gambling department. Drake has lost million of dollars betting on Israel Adesanya to beat Alex Pereira, Jake Paul to knock out Tommy Fury and so on and so forth.
Drake Wins Big, Thanks To ‘Bones’
But, one of Drake’s big bets finally paid off at UFC 285 where he wagered $250K on Jones to win by submission (he also placed $250K on him to win by KO).
It’d be easy money for Drake as Jones wasted no time with Ciryl Gane, who he submitted with a guillotine in just two minutes of the very first round. With ‘Bones’ getting the tap, Drake bolstered a $1.7M payout from his wager.
Walking away both winners on Saturday night, perhaps Drake will get Jon Jones something nice as a thank you for the huge cash-out… like he did for Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann with a Rolex watch at UFC London last year.
