Dominick Cruz defeats Urijah Faber in a five round war

Watching these two world class bantamweights go at it in the main event of a UFC show with people unfamiliar with the WEC, gives me the same type of satisfaction I will feel when I watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part two with friends who haven’t read the books and they find out Fred Weasly and Tonks die. I think? Maybe that analogy makes no sense and now I ruined part of Harry Potter for everyone, damn.

The fight began with no fist bump and the cardio dial was turned to 10 immediately. Cruz bounced around in typical fashion as value meal like combos are thrown with reckless abandon by both parties. While Dominick bounces around changing levels and delivering leg kicks, Faber looks to close the distance, shooting every once in awhile and attempting to clinch.

Fifteen minutes of high octane action pass with Cruz showing crazy diversity and Faber landing some very hard shots dropping Cruz at one point. Somehow both of these guys start hitting even harder once the championship rounds start. After some heavy exchanges being lead by the California Kid’s cocked right hand, Cruz takes down Faber, insane scrambles happen, the fighters exchange more blows and Dominick Cruz wins a close and extremely entertaining unanimous decision.

Great fight by both guys to cap off an excellent show. Bravo Joe Silva. I call for a rubber match, It’s whatever, I’m ready.
