Demetrious Johnson’s next fight may be booked, but it won’t be inside the ONE Championship Circle.
Johnson, the general consensus flyweight GOAT of mixed martial arts, has been enjoying some time away from the sport following an impressive showing at ONE Fight Night 10 in May. On that night, ‘Mighty Mouse’ earned a second-straight victory over three-time titleholder Adriano Moraes, closing out their iconic trilogy in emphatic fashion. Following the win, Johnson revealed that he would take some time off and contemplate his next move.
Well, according to former UFC heavyweight, DJ’s next move might be a fight with fitness influencer Bradley Martyn. At 6’2″ tall and weighing over 230 pounds, Martyn is a monster compared to the average man. To a professional mixed martial artist, he’s nothing more than a muscle-bound novice.
Even Martyn’s friend, Brendan Schaub, seems to recognize that as the fighter-turned-podcaster made it very clear that Demetrious Johnson would mop the floor with Martyn in a street fight.
“Demetrious Johnson, who fights at 125, in a street fight would f*ck you up,” Schaub told Martyn. “He’s tiny, but he’s a black belt in everything when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. I know you think you’ll pick him up and slam him into the concrete, or I don’t know where you’re thinking this is going to go,”
“I’m gonna crush his head on the floor,” Martyn responded.

Brendan Schaub Reveals that Demetrious Johnson is Willing to Throw Hands with Bradley Martyn
Recently, Brendan Schaub followed up on Martyn’s claim, revealing that he has since spoken to Demetrious Johnson after DJ shared the above clip on social media.
“I think the clip of us on Twitter now is over eight million views, of you saying… I told you ‘Mighty Mouse’ would beat you up. Now, a little update on that. I spoke to ‘Mighty Mouse’ yesterday cause he reposted the clip.”
Schaub then claimed that Johnson is more than willing to fight Martyn and prove that size isn’t everything when it comes to a fight.
“He’s like, ‘Just tell him I’m down. It’s not gonna go well.’ I know. That’s why I wanted it to go down,” Schaub added. “He said, ‘I’m going on vacation, so let’s figure it out and I’ll come to L.A.'”
Schaub says he spoke to DJ.

Martyn eagerly anticipated the opportunity to face Johnson in the upcoming fight.
“I can’t wait. I can’t wait,” said Bradley Martyn.
Bradley Martyn has drawn the ire of fight fans as of late, suggesting that he could take care of business against fighters such as Nate Diaz and Demetrious Johnson during episodes of his Raw Talk podcast.
It now looks like Martyn will have to put his money where his mouth is, albeit against a fighter who’s giving up a 100-pound weight difference. Of course, that fighter just so happens to be one of the greatest mixed martial artists in the history of the sport.
