Former UFC and current ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson added more gold to his collection.
It’s been nearly a year since ‘Mighty Mouse’ has stepped inside the ONE Championship Circle, but the P4P great is staying active on the mat, honing his BJJ skills and dominating the competition — no matter how big they are.
Competing at this year’s IBJJF Pan Championships in Florida, Johnson blasted his way through three opponents en route to taking home the top prize in the Master 2 featherweight division. However, DJ was far from done. He also competed in the tournament’s openweight division where he squared off with a 6’3″, 250-pound bear of a man.

Johnson won his match with the larger-than-life opponent, taking home a silver medal to go with his gold.
Demetrious Johnson Rises to the Top in ONE Championship
‘Mighty Mouse’ is best known for his icon UFC run that saw him defend the flyweight title an unprecedented 11 straight times. After surrendering the belt Henry Cejudo in 2018, Johnson was sent to ONE Championship in a historic trade that saw former Bellator and ONE world champion Ben Askren move to the UFC.
Johnson immediately made his presence felt in the Singapore-based promotion, winning three straight fights to become the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Tournament Champion. That set the stage for the first trilogy of his career against Brazilian standout Adriano Moraes. The pair traded highlight-reel knockouts in their first two meetings before Johnson closed things out with a decisive unanimous decision win at ONE Fight Night 10 in May.
DJ also competed in ONE’s first-ever mixed-rules superfight, squaring off with Muay Thai legend Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Johnson won the bout in round two via RNC after surviving the opening round, which was contested under ONE’s Muay Thai rule set.
