Rodtang Jitmuangnon, known as “The Iron Man”, successfully defended his ONE Flyweight Muay Thai championship at the ONE on Prime Video 4.
Returning to the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the first time since his dominant win over Jacob Smith at ONE 157, the Muay Thai icon delivered another dominant performance against the promotion’s reigning Strawweight Muay Thai titleholder Joseph ‘The Hurricane’ Lasiri.
Stepping up in weight with the hopes of becoming a two-division world champion, Lasiri was quickly shut down by ‘The Iron Man’ on Friday night. Moving forward throughout the full 25-minute contest, Rodtang never once let up on the pressure and effectively shut down the offense of Lasiri on his way to another victory inside the ONE Circle.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon Further Establishes Himself as the Best Muay Thai Fighter in the World
With the win, Rodtang earned his 11th straight victory in Muay Thai competition under the ONE Championship banner. It was also his 269th career victory, an especially impressive feat when you consider the fact that ‘The Iron Man’ is only 25 years old.
His only loss inside the ONE Circle came at the promotion’s 10th-anniversary showcase ONE X in March. Rodtang faced ONE flyweight champion and pound-for-pound great Demetrious Johnson in an innovative mixed-rules match. The bout saw the rules of MMA and Muay Thai alternate back and forth between rounds.
Johnson survived the first round contested under Muay Thai rules. In the second, MMA rules were applied, and ‘The Iron Man’ was like a fish out of the water once ‘Mighty Mouse’ was able to take things to the ground.
Despite the loss, Rodtang shared an interest in moving to MMA at some point. Before he looks at a potential career change, ‘The Iron Man’ will likely face the winner of next month’s ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix tournament final between ‘The Kicking Machine’ Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Panpayak Jitmuangnon.
