Breaking: Daniel Cormier Set To Defend His HeavyWeight Title Against Derrick Lewis At UFC 230

Dana White Says Cormier vs. Lewis Is Official for UFC 230 In Newyork

UFC surprises us with new headliner bout at UFC 230, and it’s even more intriguing than they had booked previously.

Just yesterday it was reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that UFC is in talks to book a heavyweight title fight between division champion Daniel Cormier and power puncher Derrick Lewis for UFC 230. Well, this showdown is now official as Okamoto reported recently that UFC head honcho Dana White says the fight is on.

BREAKING: PER DANA WHITE, “THE FIGHT IS DONE” BETWEEN DANIEL CORMIER AND DERRICK LEWIS AT UFC 230 ON NOV. 3 IN NEW YORK.

ALSO CONFIRMED DIRECTLY WITH DANIEL CORMIER HE’S ACCEPTED THE DERRICK LEWIS FIGHT AT UFC 230 ON NOV. 3 IN MADISON SQUARE GARDEN.

Originally, promotion booked a flyweight main event between Valentina Shevchenko and the unheralded Sijara Eubanks at UFC 230, but the majority of MMA community showed their dissatisfaction on the lackluster showdown.

We can assume that Derrick Lewis medically cleared by a physician as he just scored a surprising knockout win over Alexander Volkov at UFC 229 last Saturday from Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, Cormier has been on the sidelines since defeating a then champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 226. He was expected to defend his heavyweight title against Brock Lesnar by early 2019, seems like UFC off him that he couldn’ resist.

Who do you think will come out victorious between Cormier and Lewis?
