Daniel Cormier and other UFC fighters were blown away by The Rock’s WWE return.

What a comeback

Fans in attendance and even home viewers like Cormier were left in awe after The Rock made his epic WWE comeback at WrestleMania 40. The Rock teamed up with undisputed WWE universal champion Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins in a tag team match on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 Saturday.

The Rock pinned Rhodes to cap the match off and set Reigns up for a “Bloodline Rules” or basically anything goes title match against Rhodes on Night 2 on Sunday.

DC was thrilled to see The Rock

As expected, The Rock’s return sent shockwaves across not only the pro wrestling community but also the MMA. Among those who tuned in on the WWE superstar’s comeback and raved about The Rock’s performance was former UFC heavyweight champion Cormier.

Apart from DC, Themba Gorimbo, Adrian Yanez and Bo Nickal also expressed their excitement over WrestleMania 40 and The Rock’s return inside the squared circle.

Check out what DC and other UFC fighters had to say about The Rock below:

The Rock is no stranger to the UFC and its fighters. He has long been in good terms with a wide array of UFC fighters and even partnered with the company for the launching of the UFC’s first-ever footwear.

While The Rock undeniably made a name for himself in the WWE and the big screen, he once revealed that he almost ditched pro wrestling for MMA. This lifted the lid on why MMA and the UFC hold a special place in The Rock’s heart.
