Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is teaming up with the UFC to create “Project Rock” footwear for the UFC ”
Dwayne Johnson has been very involved with the UFC for some time now. He is a big fan of the sport and has pitched in on several occasions. He was in attendance at UFC 244 to present the BMF title to Jorge Masvidal in Madison Square Garden following his win over Nate Diaz. He even lent his trademark move “The People’s Elbow” to Molly McCann after her most recent win. Now Johnson is getting the chance to level his mark on the sport, literally. He is teaming up with the UFC to create the first-ever co-branded footwear, the Project Rock x UFC BSR 2 and Project Rock Slides.
These shoes will be a part of the fighter’s kits going forward. The uniforms themselves will continue to be Venum as they have been for a year now, but Project Rock will be the footwear for athletes and their corners. Like Venum apparel, these shoes will be worn by all involved parties to all fight week events. The UFC BSR 2 and Project Rock Slides will be provided to all athletes going forward beginning with the UFC Paris event taking place this Saturday.

The sneaker, the BSR 2 has a special meaning behind the name. BSR 2 stands for Johnson’s motto, “Blood, Sweat, and Respect: The first two you give, the last one you earn.” The shoes come in unisex sizes for all. According to the press release, the footwear is “For Those Who Walk the Walk.”
“The men and women warriors of UFC compete in their iconic Octagon with pride, purpose, passion, intensity, and MANA,” Johnson said about the deal in a press release. “Legacy is a very important word to me and our Project Rock is proud to deliver training gear to help support and fuel all UFC athletes who seek to establish their own impactful legacy in UFC and beyond.”
