Daniel Cormier does not believe Nick Diaz will ever fight again.

When the ‘Nick Diaz Army’ leader returned to action for the first time in six years last year at UFC 266, everyone seemed to be torn if he looked good. Diaz was stopped by Robbie Lawler in the third round.
While some fans thought he looked fine, there was a majority of fans and analysts that thought Diaz looked slow and unmotivated.

Former two-division UFC champion Cormier is among the latter.

DC gives Nick Diaz the no-go.

On his show DC & RC, he said he believes we won’t see Diaz fight again.

“My last visual of Nick Diaz, I don’t feel like we’re gonna really see him again in the octagon,” Cormier said. “The pictures he looked shredded, inside the octagon he looked like a different man and it didn’t seem like he wanted to be in there.”

Diaz’s return to action last September was supposed to be at welterweight, but the week of the fight, he requested a move to middleweight, which most likely led to him looking out of shape and a lot slower than he usually is.

Earlier this month, Cesar Gracie, Diaz’s longtime coach, posted on his Instagram and told fans to expect Diaz to fight again in 2022. Does it happen? No one really knows.

UFC president Dana White said the night of UFC 266 that he thought Diaz looked good but has made it clear he doesn’t think Diaz should fight again.

Do you think Nick Diaz should fight again?
