Dana White has given a big update on a potential fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.
After Musk and Zuckerberg agreed to fight one another for charity, there hasn’t been a ton of news or an update on it. Many fans thought the fight would never happen and it was just a publicity stunt from both of them.
However, during a recent appearance on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, White revealed he has had talks with an Italian Minister to talk about hosting the fight at the Colosseum.
“It’s real. It’s real. They do wanna fight, it’s real… We were talking about the Colosseum for that fight,” Dana White said about Musk vs. Zuckerberg. “I actually did have a meeting with the minister of culture in Italy to actually have that fight in the Colosseum if it happens. It would be in MMA. We’re talking, no steroids, no steroids allowed.
“These guys would be drug tested, Zuckerberg takes this s*it seriously. He’s a huge UFC fan, he trains and he’s an MMA fan… Elon grew up doing Judo, he’s a legit Judo guy… This is one of those fights that if we did do it, I would build a killer undercard. Tons of great fights, and them in the main event. But think about how big that fight is!”
White calls Musk vs. Zuckerberg the biggest fight ever
A fight at the Colosseum would be very cool to see live and on TV and would only add to the intrigue of a potential Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg fight. However, whether or not that can actually happen is uncertain, but Dana White at least has had preliminary talks about making it happen.
It’s also a fight that White has been vocal about wanting to promote as he claimed it would be the biggest fight in the history of combat sports.
“You look at these two tech guys and nobody thinks that they can fight but they want to, it’s real, and we’ll see how this thing ends up. You know me, I’m working on it. I think that this will be the biggest fight in the history of the world and I think it will set a record that will never be broken if it happened. I like putting on fights that people want to see like this,” White said on The Pat McAfee show.
For now, a deal between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg is not done, and whether or not it will happen is to be seen.
