Dana White Assures McGregor vs. Khabib Press Conferences For UFC 229 Are On Their Way

Dana White Stated There’ll Be ‘A Couple Press Conferences’ For Khabib vs. McGregor

UFC 229 PPV event which is set to go down on October 6th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main event features a blockbuster lightweight title fight between undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former two-division champion Conor McGregor, is roughly a less than month away. UFC head honcho Dana White is expecting record-shattering 2 million PPV buys for McGregor’s UFC return but surprisingly there have been little media in the build-up of potentially the biggest fight in UFC history. Where’s the hype?

Last month Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer newsletter reported that Mcgregor is not agreed to do much of media appearances before the Nurmagomedov showdown. Instead, Irishman wants to focus on to train for his most dangerous opponent yet. The UFC is reportedly not happy about that, but there’s nothing much the promotion can do about that.

This past weekend, during the UFC 228 broadcast, UFC released couple small promotional videos for UFC 229, but no sign of presser anyway near.

”There’s going to be a couple of press conferences,” he said during UFC 228 weekend. “That’ll all be announced after this fight. We’ll do this fight and then we’ll announce all the stuff that’s going on with Conor and Khabib. Nothing like [the MayMac World Tour]. There won’t be any … we should have, but there won’t be enough time.”

”These guys, first of all this is the toughest fight of both of their careers and these guys need time to train and get ready for this fight. It’s a month away. But we’re gonna have some good stuff for the press and for the fans.”

How many of you eagerly waiting for Khabib vs. Mcgregor press conference? Who do you think will come out victorious when Nurmagomedov and McGregor battle at UFC 229 on October 6? Do you think this card will break all the PPV records?
