The Former UFC Featherweight Women’s Champion Does Not Appreciate Dana White’s Lies
Cris Cyborg (21-2-1 NC) is a legend in women’s MMA has been the former UFC featherweight champion. But it’s apparent she feels a lack of respect from the UFC president Dana White, who she explains lies about pretty much everything.
Cyborg was preparing for a fight against Felicia Spencer at UFC 240 of which she won via a decision that’s when Dana White told the media she was not interested in fighting the UFC Featherweight and bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes (18-4).
Nunes defeated Cyborg in December via knockout to take the belt but you can bet she absolutely wants a rematch against the greatest women’s MMA fighter ever.
And White said he’d sign a deal for the two to fight, however, Cyborg wasn’t buying it as she explained to MMA Junkie…
“Everything Dana says is a lie. Everything is a lie. I just keep (focus) on myself and keep doing what I’m doing. I know the truth is going to come out.”
And the lying and back and forth between the two has resulted in Cyborg explaining that she just laughs at Dana White when she sees him and explained that she’d be surprised if he did something that was nice for her…
“If Dana White does something nice for me, I’m going to be surprised. He’s doing this all my career. I just laugh at him. When I see him, I just laugh.”
And apparently, she just avoids White altogether explaining that she deals with someone else rather…
“It’s a business. He’s working with the UFC, but I don’t have to deal with him. I don’t deal with him. I deal with another person in the UFC, and this is not any problem. I just have to be professional.”
But after Cyborg defeated Spencer, she was congratulated by White but the conversation went in another direction pretty quickly. Cyborg told White to stop lying about a rematch with Nunes after she said that she text him about a rematch before he said she wanted nothing to do with the duel champion Nunes.
