- Team McGregor could be the first TUF team in history to get swept in the quarterfinal round
- UFC president Dana White said Conor McGregor is now worrying about what lies ahead if his team went completely winless
Conor McGregor and his team are on the verge of getting swept by Michael Chandler’s team in The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 quarterfinal round. UFC president Dana White senses that “Notorious” is now worried about what lies ahead of them now that they are one loss away from going 0-8.
It would be a first in TUF History
Team Chandler won their seventh consecutive fight after Jason Knight submitted Team McGregor’s Landon Quinones. If ever Team McGregor loses the final fight of the quarterfinal round then it would mean that no contestant from the other team will qualify in the semifinal, a first in the history of TUF.
Team Chandler just won their 7th straight fight as Jason "Hick Diaz" Knight submits Landon Quinones.

In a short video clip, TUF executive producer Gary DeFranco told White that if Team Chandler sweeps Team McGregor, they might, just might, try and split the qualified contestants into two groups. That is if they would agree to join McGregor’s team.
“Well, it’s never happened before. We see if anybody wants to go over to the other team,” DeFranco said.

Conor could feel the Pressure
White later revealed that McGregor spoke to him about the situation and is now thinking about what’s the worst that could happen if they lose again.
“Team McGregor is now 0 and 7 and you can see it starting to weigh on Conor,” White said in the video. “He came over to me and asked me what happens if his team loses every quarterfinal fight and I said, ‘Honestly, I don’t know.’ It’s crazy because it’s never happened in 30 seasons of The Ultimate Fighter. If his team loses the next fight, he might have to change things up in the semifinals. We’re just gonna have to wait and see how this plays out.”

It can be recalled that McGregor and Chandler already got into a physical altercation after Team Chandler won their sixth fight in a row. Things could get even more intense when the pair clashed again for the next fight.
