Conor McGregor lost his cool after dropping his sixth bout in a row as a coach on “The Ultimate Fighter” 31.

McGregor has had any success against Team Michael Chandler on TUF 31, and it reached a boiling point with the “Notorious” ones sixth straight loss as a coach. Lee Hammond, who represented Team McGregor, was submitted by Team Chandler’s Kurt Hollobaugh. McGregor and Chandler exchanged words inside the Octagon before McGregor shoved Chandler. After the shove, both men were separated.

Michael Chandler Responds To Conor McGregor Shove

Michael Chandler was interviewed by Din Thomas and former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Julianna Pena on ESPN’s “After TUF.” During the interview, Chandler reflected on the shove from Conor McGregor.

“Well hey, let’s just look at it, it went from 0 to 100 very quickly,” Chandler said. “To be honest with you, I didn’t expect it. Obviously, we’re ready to protect ourselves at all times. The first thing was, ‘Holy cow, okay, he just put his hands on me. What’s about to happen? Is he in my space?’ But, obviously, he backed up. I, obviously, got pushed back and we both kind of started walking towards the center of the cage. He starts taking off his coat, and I’m like,’ Okay, what? We gonna fight right here?’ Obviously, you never quite know what’s gonna happen. We’re on a reality show, but it’s also two dudes who wanna fight each other. So, I was ready for anything and, obviously, I was ready to fight right there if we had to, but let’s be honest, we’re on a reality show.”

Despite the tense moment, many have questioned whether or not a showdown between McGregor and Chandler will ever happen. McGregor missed the deadline to re-enter the USADA testing pool for a 2023 return.
