While in New York, Conor McGregor decided to reunite with his old pal and former Brazilian Jiu-jitsu coach Dillon Danis. The pair seemed to have enjoyed each other’s company while sparring and doing some pad work.

A good training Day

Sharing a few photos of his training session with Danis on Twitter, “Notorious” wrote:

“Good sparring today at Church Street with Dillon Danis. NYC Underground Kings, word to Eddie [Alvarez]. You think you know. You have no idea. Onwards we go! #smile #check #soon.”

Same people, different Paths

While the photos show that everything remains the same between McGregor and Danis, their professional careers don’t imply the same thing.

It can be recalled that “El Jefe” has not fought professionally since 2019 after ending his brief stint with Bellator. He was last slated to face KSI in a boxing match earlier this year but later pulled out due to some strange reason.

On the other hand, McGregor remains one of the biggest draws in the UFC. The Irish MMA superstar last fought inside the Octagon at UFC 264 and a gruesome leg injury saw him being sidelined for two years now. Nevertheless, many are still holding their breath for the former UFC two-division champion’s return.

McGregor is supposedly taking on Michael Chandler in the season finale of The Ultimate Fighter Season 31. However, the fight is now up in the air after rumors swirled that “Notorious” is not all-in on the idea.
