Conor McGregor‘s comeback is in full force.
Video
On Sunday, McGregor posted a video of him throwing hard kicks at a heavy bag.
No return in 2022
It appears the road to McGregor’s return has started; however, his return won’t be in 2022, according to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani. Helwani said 2023 is when the Irish superstar will return on his show, The MMA Hour, this week.
“It doesn’t look like he’ll be back in 2022,” Helwani said. “The last I heard, by the way, is that Conor might come back in February, March or something like that.”
Helwani added that McGregor’s camp is taking his return slower than usual. “What if Conor comes back, stumbles and gets hurt again? There are a million different things that could happen. There’s no guarantee he’ll be back tomorrow, next month, the month after that, and the last I heard it was early 2023. There is no rush here, as there should be no rush because he is coming back from such a scary and serious injury.”
McGregor is recovering from a broken leg that he suffered at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier. In the video above, Conor is kicking with the leg he broke, which is excellent in terms of recovery.
Future
‘Notorious’ has been calling a lot of fighters out and has received several call-outs. However, the fight that looks like it has all of the steam is McGregor vs. Michael Chandler, which is fantastic.
Time will tell.
