Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin and Bellator lightweight champ Usman Nurmagomedov made waves following a failed drug test that resulted in his champion status in dire straits. Unsurprisingly, former UFC two-division champ Conor McGregor took the opportunity to hit out at the Nurmagomedovs.

Conor did not let it slide

In his now-deleted tweets, “Notorious” ruthlessly blasted Usman and the entire Nurmagomedov clan and accused them of being “hypocrites.” McGregor even included Khabib’s deceased father Abdulmanap in his raunchy rant.

“I am not one bit surprised upon hearing another of the Nurmagomedov team testing positive for steroids. Hypocrites of the highest order,” McGregor wrote.

“Steroids are HARAM! The shame of Allah hangs over the nurmagomedev clan,” he added. “Cheaters! Abdulmanap is doing tumbles in his grave,” McGregor wrote on X. ““Steroids are HARAM! The shame of Allah hangs over the nurmagomedev clan. Cheaters! Abdulmanap is doing tumbles in his grave.”

For context, McGregor has been feuding with Khabib and the Nurmagomedovs for years. The long-standing beef between the two dates back to their epic UFC lightweight title fight in 2016.

Usman is out of the picture

As expected, Usman has already been reprimanded for his failed drug test. He is now been removed from the ongoing Bellator Lightweight Grand Prix and his title fight win over Brent Primus at Bellator 300 has now been overturned to No Contest. It is yet to be known whether Usman will be ordered to relinquish his Bellator lightweight title.

On the other hand, there is still no concrete update about McGregor’s much-awaited UFC return. However, “Notorious” previously suggested that the UFC may just make a surprise announcement which even he may not have an idea about.
