Colby Covington: Conor McGregor Too “Coked Up” To Do UFC 229 Promotion

Outspoken Welterweight Colby Covington Thinks He Knows Why Conor McGregor Hasn’t Been Promoting UFC 229

UFC 229 is just roughly two weeks away and former two-division champion Conor Mcgregor is returning to UFC Octagon in the main headliner to challenge undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. The fight is arguably the biggest in the UFC history, but Irishman refused to do the promotional activities, and we’re still waiting for the first official press conference.

Outspoken Welterweight Colby Covington thinks why is that. ‘Chaos’ understands why Notorious is opposed to traveling to do the media in states after all he’s gearing up for one of the toughest fights of his career. But Covington also believes Mcgregor’s traveling will stop him from partying with hookers and snorting cocaine. (Via BJPenn)

“I completely understand where he’s coming from,” Colby Covington explained. “He’s over in Ireland, so to come from Ireland, to come do promotion in America, that’s a little tough. It takes out of your training schedule. You want to be training hard, and preparing for your style matchup. I get where he’s coming from. It gets a little tough when you’re cutting weight to travel all over the place, when you want to focus on really getting yourself ready to peak for your fight.”

“But the thing is, he’s gotten a little soft, over the years,” Covington added. “He’s doing his little cocaine, and he’s partying a lot with his hookers. He’s getting a little soft. He’s a little, he’s a coked up little leprechaun who’s getting a little soft, so I completely understand why he doesn’t want to do promotion.”

Covington has a history of whistleblowing on other fighters if you remember ‘Chaos’ has called cops on Fabricio Werdum as well spitting venom on his former roommate Jon Jones.

Covington is in a process to clash against longtime rival Tyron Woodley after “The Chosen One” smashed Darren Till at UFC 228 earlier this month.

What do you think of Covington’s take on Mcgregor?
