Chris Weidman has taken a break from beating people up to instead, saving them. The middleweight champ reportedly saved the life of an elderly woman who injured herself after falling through a glass table that had all of its legs intact (for all we know).
Presumably to protect his identity of being an actual superhero, Weidman called 911, instead of escorting the woman to the hospital by himself via flight, and cleaned the woman’s wounds while he waited for paramedics to arrive.
His wife posted about the champs heroics shortly after the ordeal.
Shout out to this man @chrisweidmanufc who just saved our 92 year old neighbors life. She fell onto a glass table and had pieces stuck in her head. She was in her driveway bleeding out in the rain trying to call her daughter on the phone. Chris ran over and brought her inside, cleaned her up and called 911. #myhero

No word on whether Weidman will receive the keys to the city or a generic movie-style gold medal for his citizenly duties just before the end credits begin to roll. He’ll likely eat a cannoli silently with Matt Serra while wondering what a giant W would look like on his chest.
Weidman will defend the reward he won for hurting individuals and not saving them against Vitor Belfort in early 2015.
