UFC Live on Versus 5 is going down this Sunday. Free MMA on a Sunday night is an amazing way to end a weekend. The only thing better than free MMA on a Sunday is Free MMA that promises to deliver and that’s exactly what Chris Lytle and Dan Hardy have up their training rash guard sleeves for this Sunday. According to both Chris and Dan during the event’s conference call–neither one of them want to grind out a wrestlefest this weekend.
Dan Hardy:”Regardless of where the fight goes I just don’t want a boring fight and there are a lot of wrestlers out there that you know, they use their wrestling really well in the MMA, they use it aggressively, they win fights with it. I just don’t want a boring fight and I don’t think Chris has got that in him.”
Chris Lytle: “I’m very honored to be actually put in – they picked Dan and I to be the main event and let me tell you something. They didn’t pick me and Dan to be there to put on a boring fight. So if you think I’m going to try to sit there and get him on the ground and hold him down for 15 minutes and then dry hump him, that’s not going to happen. So you’re going to get what you pay – you’re going to get a good fight out of it. That’s all I can guarantee. It’s going to be fun to watch.”
Sometimes fighters promise excitement and it just doesn’t work out the way they expected or hoped. You just never know where a fight is going to go, but with Chris Lytle being a hoarder of FOTN bonuses I tend to believe what this man says. He backs up his promises and does what he sets out to do. That’s a great characteristic to base a political campaign off of. Maybe he should run for office.
