The greatest trick the Nintendo Entertainment System ever played was convincing you that ‘King Slender’ from their ‘Pro Wrestling’ game wasn’t modeled after Bas Rutten. Perhaps it was Bas Rutten who modeled his Pancrase outfit after the eight-bit character. Alternatively, there is a small probability that Bas Rutten mastered the technology of traveling through time, and traversed our universe only to find that Nintendo’s ‘King Slender’ was the perfect blueprint to originate an MMA career from. All of those theories are probably incorrect, but we will stand by them until the day we die.
