Charles Oliveira Finished Nick Lentz With A Tremendous Straight Right Followed By A Barrage Of Hammer-Fists!

UFC Fight Night 152 took place tonight (Saturday, May 18, 2019), from inside Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York.

The Brazilian submission expert Charles Oliveira squared off against decorated wrestler Nick Lentz in an intriguing Lightweight bout. The match was judged by Todd Anderson.

Both men focused on the kicks early on in the match. Oliveira tried to aim to the head but ate a punch combo instead. Oliveira then switched tactics, focusing on sneaky elbows and big right hands. But despite he knew the Brazilian was an amazing ground guy, Nick Lentz risked and took him down.

Oliveira got up quickly and the two continued trading shots in the stand-up. Lentz landed a counter straight but ate a big jumping front kick. Lentz took Oliveira down again but got swept. The two rolled on the canvas for some time, then stood up and continued trading shots until the end of the first round. Lentz was a bit more active in the first frame.

The second round didn’t start well for Oliveira, as he was taken down almost instantly. Oliveira wrapped up a guillotine choke, but Lentz somehow slipped out, it looked tight. After Oliveira’s illegal up-kick, the two restarted. Charles somehow managed to stand up.

Oliveira then caught Lentz body kick attempt and sent him on the ground with a tremendous punch. After a few hammer-fists, the ref waved off the contest.

Charles Oliveira improved the score to 27-8, 1 NC MMA, 15-8, 1 NC UFC; while Nik Lentz dropped to 30-10-2, 1 NC MMA, 14-6-1, 1 NC UFC.
