Matt Brown had a lot to say about Jake Shields vs. Mike Jackson

Former UFC star Shields would attack Jackson at the UFC Performance Institute just last week. Apparently, Jackson had called Shields a Nazi among other things on Twitter and let’s just say the former title challenger wasn’t happy about it.

Shields took down Jackson rather quickly, slapping around ‘The Truth’ and posted a video of the one-sided altercation on his Twitter. In response, Jackson now plans to press charges on Shields for assault

Brown Sounds Off

While not everybody may see eye-to-eye with Shields, Brown doesn’t believe Jackson should have branded him a Nazi online, creating this whole beef to begin with.

“More power to Jake,” Brown said on The Fighter vs. The Writer. “This guy was talking sh*t to him and I know Jake says some f*cking crazy sh*t on Twitter. I’ve followed him for a while. He says some sh*t that no one’s going to agree with but you don’t go calling people Nazis and sh*t. Jake is far from a Nazi.

“He might say some sh*t you don’t agree with. He might be a little out there on some things according to you, or according to someone else, but come on, man. You know you can’t say that sh*t and then see Jake Shields in person and he’s not going to do anything. So f*ck Mike Jackson.”

More On The Matter

Jackson might not have the best MMA record (being 1-2, with one no-contest), however he’s been on the UFC roster since 2016. With years of experience under the UFC banner, Brown says Jackson should have known the consequences of calling out another fighter like Shields online.

“You’re a UFC fighter, too. You are in the UFC, too. You’re an open book. That’s an open invite to f*ck you up or to fight you,” Brown said of Jackson. “Especially at the UFC PI. What do you think Jake’s going to do? More power to Jake. F*ck that guy.

“If you’re a UFC fighter, you’re opening yourself to those consequences. You’re going to talk sh*t to another UFC fighter, when you guys see each other you’re probably either going to be fighting or he’s going to try to fight you. You see this all the time. Guys are ready to throw down any second.”

Brown believes Jackson brought this situation upon himself.

“He called him a f*cking Nazi,” Brown continued. “Like how you disagree with him, you wouldn’t start calling him names. You’d say I disagree because of this. As soon as you start insulting people, especially professional fighters, again you’re opening that door now. Even more so if you’re a professional fighter. You’re opening that door even more.”

Brown’s Message To Jackson

Brown continued to verbally beat down on Jackson, who is going to press charges on Shields.

“I’d say it to Mike Jackson’s face. You’re a f*cking p*ssy. You say that sh*t to Jake Shields online and you got your ass whooped. Suck it up. Those are fighting words that you said. You opened the f*cking door, bro. You can’t accept those consequences, you’re a p*sst and you’re going to start pressing charges?

“You said fighting words and you got into a fight about it. You lost the fight. Fair enough. Jake’s a f*cking bad dude. He’s a tough son of a b*tch. A lot of people are going to lose a fight to him. There ain’t no shame in that.”
