Longtime UFC Octagon girl Brittney Palmer has announced that she has decided to retire from the gig.
Palmer gained notoriety as a cage ring card girl during her days with WEC. Once the WEC folded and its talents merged, the UFC also brought Palmer in as an Octagon girl. She will be making her final appearance as an Octagon girl throughout the UFC 296 event this Saturday night (December 16).

UFC Ring Girl Brittney Palmer Retiring
Brittney Palmer made her retirement announcement while accepting the honor for “Best Octagon Girl” at the 2023 World MMA Awards (h/t MMAFighting.com).
“I truly am honored to accept this award,” she said. “Thank you to the UFC, Fighter’s Only, and all the fans who voted for me. Well, there’s no better time to say it. But after 16 years with UFC, I’ve decided to retire. This weekend will be my last event, and I’m so absolutely grateful for this unforgettable experience.”
Outside of the Octagon, Palmer has long put her passion for art on display. Her murals and paintings have been featured in pieces for many notable outlets. Back in 2021, Palmer made a painting of Conor McGregor ahead of his UFC 257 clash with Dustin Poirier. She even used the painting on a T-shirt.
Palmer has certainly made the most of her time in the spotlight. She graced the cover of the March 2012 Playboy magazine. She has also been featured in Maxim and FHM as a model.
A few months before announcing her retirement, Palmer took to her Instagram account to heap praise on UFC color commentator Joe Rogan in what some are now viewing as a parting post that no one saw coming.
“Grateful and thrilled to have shared this unforgettable moment with this amazing human. @joerogan, a cherished friend for years, graced us with his presence, and I am humbled by his support.”
