Barely a month ago, it took Conor McGregor only 13 seconds to flip the switch on José Aldo and become the second UFC Featherweight Champion ever. McGregor leaped onto the cage, did a couple of Diaz gestures, and imagined counting money. It is common knowledge that McGregor wants to repeat what he had achieved in Cage Warriors by becoming both the Featherweight and the Lightweight champion in the UFC. Well, it looks like he may get his wish according to Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter.
This hasn’t been made official by the UFC but if you listen closely you can already hear the echoes of Dana White saying this will be the biggest PPV ever and break records. Holly Holm gets her chance to truly claim the division with a serious title defense versus Miesha Tate and McGregor gets a shot at realizing a dream. …He’ll just have to get through a fight with a blood-thirsty Frankenstein who presents the most dangerous challenge you could probably imagine for the Irishman.
BREAKING: Multiple sources confirm UFC will soon announce UFC 197 for March 5 in Vegas with Dos Anjos/McGregor and Holm/Tate.

Still, it’s not hard to see why McGregor thinks he’s got the fight game in the bag.
