Bobby Green is hoping to fight next weekend at UFC Austin.

Green was scheduled to face Dan Hooker in the co-main event, which was also going to be five rounds in a fan-friendly fight. However, Hooker suffered an arm injury which forced him to pull out of the bout.

Now, with there still being nine days to the fight, Bobby Green is hoping someone steps up on short notice and does what he has done for his entire career.

“I had to fight cats on 10 days notice, two weeks notice, or 24 hours notice, you know what I mean,” Bobby Green said on Jaxson podcast. “So now it’s the other end. The last time I had to fight Jim Miller, they told me to fight him on two weeks’ notice, jump in the gym, had to cut weight, get off the weed, and all clean up. Man, I ended up passing out after weigh-ins, I made the weight, I passed out, I went to the hospital. They said one of my kidneys failed and one of my lungs collapsed. Now it’s y’all turn to do this shit and see if you are going to do this shit for years.”

Bobby Green is surprised Renato Moicano hasn’t called him out

Since Hooker withdrew, the likes of Terrance McKinney, Jared Gordon, and Rafael dos Anjos have called him out. However, one name that has surprised Bobby Green that hasn’t called him out is Renato Moicano.

Green says that is the fight he wants as the two have been going back and forth for months and he’s hopeful the two can throw down.

“I expected Renato Moicano to say something because we have been having this back-and-forth and we wanted to fight. I thought he’d be the first person, but it’s been cricket,” Green added.

As of right now, Bobby Green doesn’t have an opponent for UFC Austin but is hopeful he will be able to fight on Dec. 2.
