Bobby Green Bloodies Jim Miller, Scores Dominant Decision Victory – UFC 300 Results (Highlights)

On Saturday night, Jim Miller made history by becoming the only fighter to compete at UFC 100, UFC 200, and UFC 300. 

With wins over Mac Danzig and Takanori Gomi at UFC 100 and UFC 200, ‘A-10’ looked to make it three in a row at landmark events when he stepped inside the Octagon for a clash with lightweight division fan favorite ‘King’ Bobby Green.  

Round 1

Bobby Green comes out with his hands down as Miller fires a low kick. Miller throws a strike but eats a counter right. Miller comes right back with a big left hand. Green retreats to avoid further damage, but eats another right hand from Miller. Green throws a front kick to the body. Miller goes up top with a head kick. Green fires a 1-2 combination that connects. Miller comes back with a combination of his own. A nice jab from Green lands. 

Another 1-2 from Green lands clean as Miller continues to stalk forward. Miller throws a low kick and eats a stiff left hand in the process. Green appears to already be in his rhythm as Miller attempts to rush in and find his target. Another good left hand from Green lands. He follows it up with a right hand and a little trash talk. Green throws a couple of front kicks to the body and Miller responds with a left hand. 

Miller again rushes in but fails to land. Miller throws a booming left hand that has Green retreating. Miller moves in, looking to take advantage, but Green offers enough in return to make it out of the opening round.

Round 2

Bobby Green once again comes out with his hands low and taunting Miller. Green appears to get the best of the round’s first striking exchange. Green goes low with a leg kick before coming back up top with a left. Miller uncorks an uppercut that partially lands. Both fighters are beginning to open up and let their hands go. A nasty leg kick lands for Miller. Green lands a nice combination at the two-minute mark, prompting Miller to attack the lead leg of his opponent.

Miller is beginning to bleed from a cut near his right eye. Still, Miller continues to push the pace and throw heavy hands. Green lands a beautiful right hand, followed by a left. A jab from Green pops Miller’s head back. Miller refuses to back down but has been unable to land anything significant through the last four minutes. 

Miller lands another low kick. Green responds with another stiff jab. With only 10 seconds left, Green is content to sit back and admire his work. 

Round 3

In between rounds, Miller indicates he can’t see out of his right eye and may have broken his finger. Green picks up right where he left off, landing at will as Miller struggles to land his punches. Miller lands a nice low kick, but Green tees off on Miller, landing a combination of punches. Miller is now beginning to backpedal as the damage on his face continues to mount. Miller unleashes another strong inside leg kick.

Miller lands a big right hand that inspires Green to clinch up momentarily. Green breaks away and takes a deep breath. With a minute to go, Green calls for the two to stand in the middle and trade. Miller obliges but eats a nasty right hand that has him compromised. Green moves in and drops Miller with a barrage of strikes. Green follows him to the ground looking for a finish. Miller works his way back up but is promptly wrestled back down to the mat with only seconds left on the clock.

Green finishes the round landing ground and pound strikes on Miller. 

Official Result: Bobby Green def. Jim Miller via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-25, 29-26)
