UFC rising star Bo Nickal is confident that his fight with Cody Brundage will be included in the main card and not prelims of the much-awaited UFC 300 event.

Bo thinks he deserves a main card fight

Speaking to The MMA Hour, Nickal said he has no problem whether his bout with Brundage will be put on the prelims or the main card. However, he has a feeling that the UFC will make it a main card bout simply because he has prove that he can generate numbers for the company.

“There was a tweet going around saying, ‘Bo Nickal is going to open up the fight or the whole card, like, very first fight on the prelims.’ I was like, ‘That’s news to me.’ I think somebody just made that up as people do. I don’t know. We’ll see where the UFC puts me. I would assume that given my last two fights being on the pay-per-view, I’ll be on the pay-per-view again but if they wanna put me on the prelims, that’s fine too. No matter what, I’m gonna go out there and perform. That’s on the UFC… I’m gonna go out there and smash this dude regardless,” Nickal said.

“I feel like I’m a big star already with a couple of fights and there’s a lot of people that wanna see me fight. So, they’ll put me where they feel is best… There’s gonna be eyes on me no matter what… if I were to guess, I would guess they’d put me on the main card, just because they want those numbers, they wanna draw. People wanna see me fight, so they’re gonna do what’s best for business,” he continued.

Bo wants to fight as many times as he could

Nickal then came clean about his plan to stay as active as he could . If possible, he would like to fight four times this year.

“If we’re talking perfect world, I would like to fight four times. I think, more than likely, I will plan on three. I want to get in there in April, I’d like to get in there again, hopefully International Fight Week. Maybe later July, August. If I can get in two more times before the end of the year, that would be great,” Nickal revealed.

Cody is ready to test Bo

Nickal has gone unbeaten in his pro MMA career and is undeniably making waves in the UFC. On the other hand, Brundage is not bothered by Bo’s fame. In fact, Cody is even cool with being the underdog in their upcoming match. For Brundage, Nickal is up for a real test now that they are set to take on each other.

All of Nickal’s five wins came by way of finishe. His latest win was a first-round TKO on Valentine Woodburn. Brundage, meanwhile, is coming off a first-round KO win over Zachary Reese.

UFC president Dana White is expected to announce more additions to UFC 300. He previously confirmed that Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan is included in the card.
