Flyweights meet in the main event of UFC Vegas 69.
Former UFC Champion Jessica Andrade makes a quick turnaround after dominating Lauren Murphy at UFC 283. She defends her top spot in the rankings against the up-and-coming 23 year-old prospect Erin Blanchfield.
Round 1:
Andrade touches Blanchfield with a blitz of strikes to start the fight. Blanchfield returns with punches of her own and closes the distance. Blanchfield presses Andrade to the fence but Andrade separates from the clinch. Andrade stuffs a takedown from the American.
Blanchfiels hits Andrade with a hard right hand. Blanchfield buckles Andrade with more strikes. Both women stand in the pocket momentarily trading shots. Andrade cracks Blanchfield with a counter right hand. Blanchfield goes for a takedown which is defended well by Andrade.
Round 2:
Andrade throws wild punches at Blanchfield with most of them not finding their target. Blanchfield finally takes down Andrade and quickly seizes control of the back. Blanchfield locks in a rear-naked choke and within just a few seconds, Andrade taps out.
