UFC Featherweight Contender Artem Lobov’s Time In The UFC Has Come To An End, Lobbying For New Home

The Ultimate Fighter season 22 alum and UFC featherweight prospect Artem Lobov is released from the UFC according to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

Artem Lobov (@RusHammerMMA) has been released from the UFC. He asked for his release and the promotion obliged. He had three fights left on his deal. He is hoping to secure new MMA, boxing and kickboxing contracts, he tells me. More coming to @espn shortly.

‘The Russian Hammer’ who’s a longtime teammate of former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor and sparring partner. Straight Blast Gym (SBG) staple holds a professional record of 13-15-1 and 2-5 inside the Octagon.

Lobov also took to his Twitter account stating he’s so ready to take on anyone and everyone. He also mentioned six separate promotions excluding UFC.

Lobov also set his sights on boxers Paulie Malignaggi and Amir Khan. Malignaggi who’s known for his beef with Mcgregor over sparring video.

Lobov entered into UFC in 2015 after appearing in Season 22 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” where he was in team Conor Mcgregor. Most recently he’s coming off a unanimous decision loss to Michael Johnson in October.

Lobov and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s hotel altercation prior to UFC 223 event last April ensued an incident at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, in which Irishman and his goons threw a metal dolly at a bus that was transporting ‘Eagle’ and other UFC fighters.

Due to of that Lobov’s scheduled fight to Nurmagomedov’s teammate Zubaira Tukhugov canceled on the same card.
