As the dust has begun to settle following Conor McGregor’s rampage at a UFC media event yesterday, it’s clear that UFC 223 has fallen apart more quickly than any other MMA event in the history of UFC. The incident resulted Michael Chiesa suffered multiple lacerations on his face as a result of glass being shattered, and Ray Borg got particles of glass in his eye.
In the episode, Mcgregor was presumably looking for Khabib Nurmagomedov in an attempt to retaliate, when Nurmagomedov has hotel altercation with his training partner and friend Artem Lobov, earlier in the week.
Things went total berzerk when Conor landed the dollies, chair at the bus as it exits the loading dock, the front window was shattered, and his members of entourage also joined him in the mayhem.
UFC executive Reed Harris, present on the bus immediately dialed UFC president Dana White to aware him of the situation. Ray Borg and UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas are stunned. Karolina Kowalkiewicz as well. Khabib exit the bus and spoke to the camera:
“Just tell me where, where, and that’s it. Why you need to come here. Show up like you want to fight or something like this. Send a message. ‘Hey, come here, this place.’ And that’s it. Without security, without UFC. Without nothing. Just send me message, let me know where, and that’s it. And what time. Let me know and that’s it.”
Dana White immediately reached to the spot and spoke to fighters, that ‘he is going to jail’.
