Leave it to Sweden to provide the very first finish of UFC 141. I know my buds at MMANytt are popping bottles right now since their countryman grabbed yet another win in the UFC. I’m not even sure what ‘Nytt’ means, but apparently it’s related to MMA. I imagine ‘Nytt’ to be somewhat like it’s cousin ‘Nougat’ but just slightly easier to comprehend. No one fully understand what nougat is. We just know that it goes inside a Snicker’s bar — and it makes it taste remarkable. Perhaps ‘Nytt’ and ‘Nougat’ should remain a mystery. Sort of like the mystery as to why a lot of you slept on Alexander Gustafsson defeating Vladimir Matyushenko tonight at UFC 141.
You had to admit, there are subtle hints of Jon Jones and Anderson Silva in Gustafsson’s stance along with that crazy arm thing he does when he’s about to strike. The guy even wears those male booty shorts that my gay neighbor probably finds attractive. Props to Alexander on a crucial win in his frate traneage through the 205 lb division.
