Top five-ranked contender at flyweight Alexa Grasso went into her headlining bout looking to extend her three-fight winning run against Viviane Araujo in the main event of UFC Vegas 62.

Round 1
Grasso measuring her range. Nice left hook and a straight left jab from Grasso. Huge low kick by Araujo. Stinging jab from Grasso. Nice striking exchange from both ladies. Araujo goes for a takedown but misses. Nice left hook from Grasso. Araujo gets a takedown and Grasso reverses it immediately to get out. In the clinch to close the round.
Round 2
Both ladies land a jab. Grasso with a nice left high kick. Araujo fires back with some power shots. Grasso on the outside lands a nice jab. Counter combination from Araujo to the body. Araujo gets the takedown and takes side control. Araujo maintaining top position. Grasso explodes out to get up again. Grasso with a jab. Nice overhand from Grasso. Grasso lands a big 1-2. Araujo goes for a takedown to end the round.
Round 3
Araujo being careful in the middle of the octagon. Nice straight to the body by Araujo. Araujo turning up the pace here. Grasso connects with a nice right. Spinning backlist from Grasso after a left high kick. Grasso lands another 1-2. Big right from Araujo.
Round 4
Araujo finds a straight right after blocking a right high kick. Nice combo for Grasso. Araujo connects a counter right. Big overhand right from Grasso. Araujo finds a jab. Clean right-hand lands for Grasso. Big right hand for Grasso lands flush. Araujo goes for a takedown and pins Grasso against the cage. Grasso gets out.
Round 5
Grasso on the outside trading strikes with Araujo. Both showing more aggression from the start of the round. Araujo goes for a takedown but doesn’t get it. They return to the middle. Grasso lands a nice right hook. Grasso blocks a takedown attempt. Grasso blitzes in with a flurry of punches. Araujo gets in the clinch.
