- Israel Adesanya did not mince his words in blasting two judges who caused the split decision loss of his teammate Amir Albazi
- Izzy is calling for the UFC to come up with something to make the judges accountable of their questionable scores
Israel Adesanya was fuming at the judges following UFC flyweight Kai Kara-France’s split decision loss to Amir Albazi at UFC Vegas 74. For the reigning middleweight champion, the judges did a terrible and that cost his teammate a win and it’s something that the UFC should address sooner rather than later.
Izzy saw it coming
In a series of tweets, Adesanya lashed out at the judges, specifically at Chris Lee and Sal D’Amato, the two judges who both scored the bout 48-47, in favor of Albazi.
“Nah bro…F*ck yous!!!” Adesanya wrote on Twitter.

“Fire Chris Lee & Sal Deez nuts,” he followed up.

Izzy went full throttle in his third tweet when he singled out Mike Bell as the only judge who scored the bout “properly.” For Adesanya, Lee and D’Amato should leave the UFC to prevent such controversial decisions from happening again.
“I tweeted that before even seeing the scorecards because I knew them two will f*ck it up!!” Adesanya exclaimed. “How many times will they rob athletes of their moments of glory, of [sic] their money, their livelihood for their family? F*ck them c*nts, they need to expire quickly and go. Mike Bell was the only judge to score this properly, the other two deff need to disappear.”

The UFC should do something about it
Despite being angered by Kara-Frances’ defeat, Adesanya concluded his tirade with a more sound and concrete suggestion.
“Start interviewing the judges after fights,” Adesanya tweeted. “Hold them accountable for their work.”

Adesanya wasn’t the first UFC fighter to come up with such an idea to improve the quality of UFC’s judging system. In March, welterweight contender Gilbert Burns shared the same sentiments over Cory Sandhagen’s controversial win over Marlon Vera.
As per “Durinho,” the UFC should have questionable judges to be investigated by the FBI as they could be involved in fight fixing due to bets.
As it stands, Kara-France has now lost two consecutive fights. Albazi, meanwhile, is likely to break into the flyweight division’s Top 5, while Kara-France may suffer the opposite.
