PlayStation Plus in January is Completely Bonkers

So, if you for some reason don’t own any sort of PlayStation, you might not know about PlayStation Plus and all of the cool, free stuff that they give away. I mean, they give away a lot of stuff. On PlayStation 3 there were some crappy issues with PSN, sure, but they just kept giving away free games — quality ones at that — which kind of made the whole thing forgivable in a strange way. Well, that rich tradition looks to continue on into 2014 with their crazy January line-up.

So what exactly will be free in January with PlayStation Plus? Don’t Starve (PS4), DmC: Devil May Cry (PS3), BioShock Infinite (PS3), Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (PS3), Smart As… (Vita) and Worms: Battle Islands (Vita). All in all, those are some pretty sweet free games if you have PlayStation Plus, with Don’t Starve serving as the third free PlayStation Plus game for the PS4, and a worthy one at that.

DmC and BioShock Infinite for free are evidence that Sony has this thing down pat while Microsoft is stumbling around in the dark with their “Games with Gold” offerings, which have been paltry, if not crummy. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons going free with Plus is cool as there are a lot of people like me who want to play the game and waiting for it to go on sale and, well, free is the best sale of them all, right?
