Hideo Kojima defends the length of MGS: Ground Zeroes

Is there a video game series that’s more polarizing than Metal Gear Solid? No one is indifferent on it, it’s something people either love or hate. It’s not hard to see why as it is a series that has a focus as much on the story as the gameplay. Both of which have their flaws and holes but I’m of the mind that the positives of the series greatly out way these flaws and holes. Sure, the story get overly silly at times. Sure, early on in the series they relied on the codec conversations far too much to tell the story. Even with those flaws these are some of my favorite games of all time.

Creator of the series Hideo Kojima recently came under fire after word got out that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes’ main story could be complete in two hours. He took to Twitter to say the following.

I think the widespread panic over this incident is silly, judging a game before it’s released is a silly thing to do and you shouldn’t do it, Silly.
