Tyson Fury responds to Jon Jones and Dana White in a new post.

UFC president, Dana White has been under fire lately for his comments about a possible fight between Jon Jones and Tyson Fury. The UFC heavyweight champion has been calling for the world boxing champion and vice versa. This all stemmed from a comment made by Joe Rogan on his podcast where he made a prediction about who would win if the two men walked into a room. Those comments got to Fury and he was offended that Rogan picked Jones over him. He then proceeded to call out Jones for a boxing match.

Jones retaliated and invited Fury to join him in the Octagon. Catching wind of this White agreed to offer to host Fury in his very first mixed martial arts fight. Fury doesn’t seem too interested in joining the UFC but reiterated again what the rules would be if the two of them ever did fight.

Tyson Fury is not interested in an MMA bout against Jon Jones

Tyson Fury is the current WBC heavyweight champion. He is currently without a fight but is looking for possible contenders. He’s been called out by another former UFC champion Francis Ngannou but doesn’t seem too interested in that bout. Now that he has been called by Jones he is adamant that the fight must be in the boxing ring. He spoke about this in a recent Instagram post.

“If you guys want to fight me it’s got to be under boxing rules,” he said . “I don’t roll round the floor, I stand up and punch.”

A fight between these two would be one of the biggest bouts in both sports. However, it seems unlikely that this will happen. Jones is currently under a UFC contract, so unless Fury decides to join him under the UFC banner then that fight will most likely not happen. Jones is however gearing up to make his retirement walk to the Octagon and then after that last but he will be free to do whatever he wants, even if that includes facing Fury in the boxing ring.
