Joe Rogan is taking a look at the scenario where UFC champion Jon Jones and boxing champion Tyson Fury could fight.

Often times in MMA, fans and analysts like to fantasize about different matchups. Over the past few years with the rise of MMA fighters facing off against boxers inside the ring, those scenarios have become more prevalent. With different rule sets, different fighters may win against others and although most of these matchups may never come to fruition, it is still fun to dream. UFC commentator/podcast host Joe Rogan is doing just this. He is taking a look at a storyline in which UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones could beat up boxing champion Tyson Fury.

On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan took a look at Jones in the realm of being the greatest of all time. Rogan has expressed before that he believes Jones is the “GOAT” and now he is giving him the upper hand against one of the greatest heavyweight boxers today.

Joe Rogan believes that Tyson Fury has no chance of beating Jon Jones in a non-boxing fight

Rogan has been with the UFC for a long time. He has a front-row seat for many fights and over the years he has broken down Jones’ skill set many times. He is high on Jones and now that he is the heavyweight champion his respect is even greater. Jones was brought up to Rogan on a recent episode of his podcast by his guest. Rogan went on to explain how a top boxer such as Fury would have no chance at beating Jones if they were locked in a room together.

“There’s no one who thinks Tyson Fury could beat Jon Jones,” he said. “No one thinks that, Tyson doesn’t think that. You want to talk about who’s the baddest man on the planet, if Jon Jones and Tyson Fury were locked into a room, I’m pushing all my chips on black. Fury is an amazing boxer, but he has no f–king chance in hell of making it out of the room.”

Many UFC fighters have been expressing their desire to make the jump to boxing and try their skills in the squared circle. That is the main reason that former champion Francis Ngannou left. He is currently looking for a fight with Fury as well. Jones however has not shown interest in making the crossover. He did mention that his next fight could be his last and perhaps a heavyweight boxing match could spark his interest in the future, and maybe Fury would like his chances aginst Jones in the ring.
