  • Ryan Garcia admits to smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol but not drugs
  • “King Ry” is open to doing a live drug testing to prove it

Ryan Garcia has let everybody know that he is not perfect but he isn’t doing drugs.

Ryan is clean

Speaking to the media and the fans in the press conference of his upcoming title fight with Devin Haney, Garcia took the opportunity to say that he is clean after Haney accused him of doing cocaine which resulted in his sore throat.

Garcia admitted that he smokes marijuana and drinks alcohol but he doesn’t do cocaine. “King Ry” even said that he could do a live drug test to prove it.

“I want to clarify some things. I don’t do cocaine,” Garcia said. “I would do a live drug test… I drink, and I smoke weed, and so has the majority of this room. You finally got somebody that raised their hands saying I’m real, I’m like this, I do drink, I do smoke, now what? Guess what? We all have flaws, and we all evolve as people.“

“I’m 25 years old, the weight of the world sometimes feels like it’s on my shoulders,” he continued. “I don’t know how many people had been 25 years old and made a hundred million dollars in their life and can do whatever they want. I wanna see what you would do in my shoes.”

Ryan needs to be focused come fight night

Garcia and Haney have been shameless about their hatred for one another. The pair has had their fair share of back and forths and there would surely be more to come.

While it’s quite normal to have a heated moment with Haney, “King Ry” needs to be laser-focused once he steps inside the ring against the undefeated reigning WBC super lightweight champion.

Haney vs. Garcia will take place on April 20 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Aside from beating Haney, “King Ry” also wants to take on UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley.
