Roy Jones Jr. and Anthony Pettis made the most money at Gamebred Boxing 4.

Jorge Masvidal’s promotion was having their biggest event to date last Saturday in Milwaukee for a star-studded card. In the main event, Jones Jr. was taking on Anthony Pettis while other names on the card were Vitor Belfort, Jose Aldo, Jacare Souza, and Jeremy Stephens among others.

In the main event of Gamebred Boxing 4, Pettis pulled off an upset decision win over Jones Jr. in a competitive fight. The former UFC champion was making his debut against the 54-year-old who was fighting for the first time since his exhibition match against Mike Tyson in November of 2020. For their efforts, Jones Jr. made $700,000 while Pettis made $650,000.

The co-main event saw a rematch of a UFC fight as Vitor Belfort took on Jacare Souza in Souza’s first fight since his UFC exit. The two fought at UFC 198 with Souza winning by first-round TKO. In boxing, however, Belfort got his revenge as he dominated Souza and dropped him to get a clear-cut win. Belfort made $400,000 while Souza pocketed $200,000 in defeat.

Also at Gamebred Boxing 4 was Jose Aldo vs. Jeremy Stephens which was also a rematch of a UFC fight. Aldo picked up a TKO win over Stephens in 2018 but in boxing, they fought to a draw in a back-and-forth scrap. It was Stephens’ boxing debut and he looked impressive as he kept up with Aldo’s strikes after he just won his boxing debut a few weeks prior. In the draw, Aldo made $425,000, the third highest salary while Stephens made $200,000.

The full salaries were revealed by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for Unarmed Combat Sports (via MMAJunkie).
