Mike Tyson gave his honest thoughts on Jake Paul, Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford and Donald Trump.

No one knew who Jake was

Speaking on It Is What It Is podcast, Tyson admitted that he has no idea why Paul is fighting him. For “Iron Mike,” he helped launch “The Problem Child’s” career by letting him fight ex-NBA star Nate Robinson on his undercard back in 2020 but it appears that he would also be finishing it by stopping Paul in their upcoming fight.

“I don’t know [why he wants to fight me]. I’m close to 60 years old,” Tyson said. “He’s going to get a lot of money as well. He’s improved since the first time he fought on my card. I started Jake off, I let him fight on my undercard a few years ago. No one knew who the hell he was. I started him and it looks like most likely I’m going to finish him.”

Tyson doesn’t like Canelo vs. Crawford

Crawford successfully beat his opponent in his junior middleweight debut and is now being linked to a super fight with Alvarez. A fight between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Terence Crawford could be one of the most exciting matchups in boxing today. Thanks to Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in the sport, this dream fight feels more achievable than ever. Crawford (41-0-0), who holds the unified welterweight title, would have to climb up several weight classes to challenge Canelo (62-2-2), the super middleweight champion. After Canelo’s win against Edgar Berlanga on September 14, both Crawford and Turki Allalshikh publicly called for a super fight with him.

As per Tyson, that fight shouldn’t happen as “Bud” already didn’t look good at 154.

“I don’t like that fight,” Tyson said of Canelo vs. Crawford. “Too much weight [for Crawford]. He had a close fight with the last guy he fought [Israil Madrimov] because he was big and really awkward. He shouldn’t have even fought that guy.”

Tyson roots for Trump

Tyson also voiced his support for Trump in the upcoming U.S. presidential elections. According to “The Baddest Man on the Planet,” he doesn’t really like everything that Trump does but it would be nice if he would win.

“Trump is going to win. It’d be nice if he wins… He is just a good man. Listen, I don’t agree with all his sh*t. Nobody agrees with all my sh*t, but you know, they good people. No one is perfect in this world. Everybody got their sh*t, you know,” Tyson pointed out.

Tyson last fought in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. that ended in a draw. On the other hand, Paul will be looking to improve his winning streak to five in a row and hopefully add a former world boxing champion to his resume.

Paul vs. Tyson will take place on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas and will be streamed live and free on Netflix.
