Stepping into the boxing ring for the 11th time in his pro career, YouTube sensation Jake Paul went toe-to-toe with BKFC superstar and the ‘King of Violence’ Mike Perry

Originally, ‘The Problem Child’ was scheduled to fight former unified heavyweight world champion ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson. Unfortunately, Tyson was forced to pull out of the bout after suffering a medical emergency during a cross-country flight in May. Unwilling to sit on the sidelines and wait for their rescheduled scrap in November, Paul opted to keep the July 20 date on his schedule.

‘Platinum’ was more than willing to step up to the plate and put his bare-knuckle brawling skills to the test in a pair of eight-ounce gloves.

Round 1

Both fighters rush to the center of the ring, but it’s Perry who takes control of the squared circle, forcing Paul to skirt the outside. Paul opens things up with a brutal body shot and lands a big right hand that sends him crashing to the canvas in the opening minute. Perry answers the referee’s eight-count and the fight resumes. Perry looks to close the distance but is not throwing much in the way of offense.

Catching Paul still in the corner, Perry lands a nice overhand right. Paul is already sucking wind, but ‘The Problem Child’ lands a left hook followed by an overhand right. Perry continues to stalk forward, but he’s walking down Paul rather than cutting off the ring. Paul rips to the body and finishes the round with a stiff jab on the BKFC star.

Round 2

Perry comes out flatfooted, walking straight forward with his chin in the air and Paul takes advantage with a massive overhand right that puts ‘Platinum’ on the mat for the second time. Perry again answers the count, but he’s on wobbly legs. Paul goes back to the overhand right and Perry is bleeding.

Still, Perry is not backing down, landing a nice right hand of his own before dragging Paul down to the canvas. Perry comes back with another big right hand. Perry lands a short left hook as Paul circles away from the ropes. Perry throws one more big shot just as the second-round bell sounds.

Round 3

Paul’s cardio is getting tested as Perry continues to walk down Paul and looking to land big. Paul throws a left hand that partially connects. Paul gets the jab going, trying to get up the overhand right, but Perry lands a nice left hook clean to the chin of his opponent. Paul continues to pepper Perry with the jab, but Perry lands another big blow that busts open Paul’s forehead.

Paul lands an uppercut in close, but nothing is stopping Perry from marching forward and landing another left hook right at the end of the round.

Round 4

As round four begins, Perry switches to southpaw he immediately pays for it by eating a big right hand from Paul. That prompts Perry to switch back to orthodox. Paul goes for a one-two, but he’s too far out to land. Paul delivers a straight left to the body. He follows it up with a jab up top and an overhand right that puts Perry on wobbly legs. Paul moves in looking for a finish, but Perry survives the onslaught and goes right back to walking down Paul.

A stiff jab from ‘The Problem Child’ lands followed by a thudding body shot. Paul rushes in and lands an onslaught of strikes, but Perry circles away from the corner and resets. Jake Paul catches Perry with a right hand that nearly knocks down ‘Platinum’ for the third time as the bell sounds.

Round 5

Paul lands a solid jab to start the fifth round. Paul goes back to the body of Perry, likely looking to set up the overhand right once again. A double jab from Paul sends Perry backward briefly. Perry is still moving forward, but he’s leaning up, making him susceptible to an uppercut. Paul continues to tenderize Perry’s face and body with a series of jabs.

With a minute to go in the round, all of the offense has come from Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ uncorks another big overhand right, but Perry shakes it off. Perry lands a body shot followed by a hook on the break, but it generates a warning from the referee for making contact with the back of the head.

Round 6

Perry comes out with his hands low and engages in an exchange with Paul that results in him eating another body blow. ‘Platinum’ snaps back with a right hand, but it’s not as powerful as Paul’s return right hand that stumbles Perry.

Smelling blood in the water, ‘The Problem Child’ unleashes an onslaught of strikes that sends Perry to the canvas for the third time. Perry gets back to his feet, but the referee doesn’t like what he sees and calls for the stoppage in the sixth round.

Official Result: Jake Paul def. Mike Perry via TKO at 1:12 of Round 6.
