- Jake Paul finds Francis Ngannou’s prediction on his fight with Mike Tyson “funny”
- “The Problem Child” is optimistic about “Iron Mike” not withdrawing from the time
Jake Paul disagrees with Francis Ngannou’s prediction of his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson and is positive the fight will finally happen this time.
Francis is wrong
Speaking to TMZ Sports, “The Problem Child” was ask to comment about Ngannou predicting a knockout win for Tyson. According to Paul, the PFL superstar’s take is “funny” but kidding aside, he knew he had to watch out for the boxing legend’s power punches, especially in the early rounds.
“Mike is big and beefy, and thick and strong. Francis actually said that he thinks Mike is going to knock me out, which is funny. But I do have to be careful in the early rounds because Mike has that crazy, crazy punching power,” Paul said
“100 percent, man. A pro-fight means war and I don’t take it lightly. You can get seriously hurt or injured in there. If you are not in there to go to war then you should get out,” he added.
Mike will not withdraw
Paul also revealed that despite experiencing some health issues heading into the initial date of their fight, Tyson is currently healthy and ready to go. As per “The Problem Child,” they have no backup fighter but he is certain “The Baddest Man on the Planet” will not pull out from the fight.
“I don’t have concern,” Paul said of Tyson’s health. “He’s doing great. He’s super healthy behind the scenes and feeling great. So that’s what we’re focused on, and there’s not a backup currently.”
Paul is coming off a victorious TKO win over Mike Perry in July. On the other hand, Tyson last entered the ring in 2020 in which he took on fellow boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match.
Paul vs. Tyson will take place on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
