  • Hasim Rahman Jr. organized a mock weigh-in on the official fight date of his canceled bout with Jake Paul but still missed weight by 1.6 pounds
  • “The Problem Child” made a savage three-word response

While fans still buzz about the scrapped Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr. boxing match, Rahman Jr., who missed by a staggering 16 pounds during the official weigh-in, was out there busy trying to make a point.

Apparently, “Gold Blooded” wanted to prove to everybody that he could make 205 pounds on fight day and it shouldn’t be a problem if Paul really wants to scrap. In a bold attempt to back his claim, Rahman Jr. hit the scale on Friday in a mock weigh-in he organized, and unfortunately, he missed by 1.6 pounds once again.

Close but not quite

With the support of his team, Rahman Jr. stepped on the scale in front of the media and logged 206.6 pounds, a figure that would still be a miss had the fight pushed through.

Jake’s 3-word response

Of course, Paul did not let it slide and immediately let his opponent know what he feels about the stunt on social media.

“HAHAHHAHAHAHA KARMAS A BITCH,” Paul tweeted.

Shots fired

Despite the failure to make a point, Rahman Jr.’s take on the issue did not change one bit. He pointed out that there was a clause that stated a 25 percent fine for every pound missed on his agreed contract with Paul and that’s no problem with him. However, Rahman Jr. insists that “The Problem Child” chose to make a big deal out of it because he has been ducking him the entire time.

“206.6. Exposure,” Rahman wrote. “The 25% purse fines were a post of the contract for a reason. Y’all stay tuned more exposure in a few.”

“Never in the history of boxing has someone pulled out a fight a week in advance over weight issues. I tried to tell y’all, ‘he’s a runner he’s a trackstar,” he added

From the look of it, it appears that the fight will no longer take place anytime soon. But with Paul still one of the biggest draw in boxing these days, we might just be waiting for another big announcement.
