Hafthor Björnsso recently responded to boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s latest comments, suggesting a potential boxing match on the horizon between the pair.

Hafthor Björnsso and Tyson Fury potentially boxing

Tyson Fury is seemingly done as a professional boxer, looking for big money exhibition bouts now, with potential opponents such as UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou being discussed.

However, Fury recently took to his Instagram, calling out Björnsso on his Instagram story with the following.

“I wonder if Thor could take a crashing right hand to that big jaw? Who would have Thor’s hammer? Would this mountain be too big to climb?”

Björnsso then responded to Fury’s challenge on his own Instagram story, accepting the challenge should Fury be serious about fighting.

“There’s only one way to find out, let’s make these (our fists) talk. I’m 100 percent up for a war. Let’s do this.”

Of course, both men’s experience inside the ring is very different. The former Game Of Thrones star is currently 2-0-2 in his professional boxing career, starting off with two draws before picking up back-to-back wins.

As for Fury, he’s undefeated in boxing with a record of 32-0-1 and acknowledged as one of the greatest heavyweight fighters of all time.

His last in-ring appearance took place inside Wembley Stadium this past April, where he defeated Dillian Whyte to retain his heavyweight throne.

Should a potential boxing bout between the pair of giants ultimately come to fruition, it will certainly be leaning heavily in the favor of “The Gypsy King.”
