BKFC’s resident bad boy ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry scored the biggest win of his combat sports career at BKFC 27 in London over the weekend. The outspoken and sometimes controversial UFC fighter turned BKFC brawler earned a unanimous decision victory over Bellator MMA star Michael ‘Venom’ Page in a crossover bout held inside the squared circle.

Following his victory over MVP, Mike Perry appeared on ‘The MMA Hour‘ with Ariel Helwani. The two discussed the unique main event that seemingly came out of nowhere. With the precedent set that BKFC is willing to work with other promotions for potential one-off appearances, ‘Platinum’ was asked about other potential opponents he would like to toe the line with.

“Any fighter who really wants to challenge themselves. I haven’t seen Jon in a while, so if Jon Jones wants to come beat me up in bare-knuckle. That’s my boy, but I love fighting, man. I want to fight the best. [Oleksandr] Usyk if you want to come or KSI was at the fight, but I don’t think he wants those problems as far as bare-knuckle boxing. A lot of people, they might not want that.”

After calling out fighters from one end of the spectrum to the other, Mike Perry flipped the switch like Sylvester Stallone in ‘Over The Top’ and became a completely different character.

“Who’s the best fighter out there right now? It’s me! I am! You see the chain on my neck, dog! SKRT, BFKC! I’m the best fighter out there so who wants some of this? It’s not about me calling out these cool people that I like. It’s about, who’s a gritty dirty motherf*cker that wants to get in here with the champ!

Paulo Costa Urges Jake Paul to Fight ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry

Coming off of his own win over the weekend, UFC middleweight Paulo Costa appeared on ‘The MMA Hour’ to discuss his win over Luke Rockhold in the UFC 278 co-main event. Eventually, the conversation turned to social media star turned professional boxer, Jake Paul. During the bout between Costa and Rockhold, Paul was heavily critical of both fighters on social media. Believing that it was all just a ploy to coax himself or Rockhold into a Twitter war with ‘The Problem Child’, Costa had a better solution for the cocky YouTube star.

“Of course, I’d like to get easy money fighting him,” Costa said. “But I have a better challenge for him: Mike Perry.

“Mike Perry is almost the same weight class, Mike Perry’s a savage,” Costa stated. “If he wants a real fight, maybe fight Mike Perry.”

While Costa was complimentary of Jake Paul’s rise to fame in the combat sports world, the Brazilian accused Paul of intentionally avoiding fighting strikers in favor of facing those primarily known for their grappling skills.

“Jake Paul has been doing great things,” Costa said. “He was just a YouTuber, and I think he did some TV shows, but he came into the fight business, and he did great. I need to recognize this. People inside the fight business, Tyron Woodley. But there’s a big difference fighting wrestlers for MMA and fighting strikers for MMA, and in my point of view, he does avoid these guys.”
