- Ex-UFC fighter Chris Camozzi made a successful bare-knuckle boxing debut at BKFC 31
- Camozzi KO’d his fellow UFC veteran and BKFC debutant Bubba McDaniel in Round 1
During Saturday night’s BKFC show, two UFC veterans made their debut, and the fight was over in a matter of seconds.
Former UFC light heavyweight Chris Camozzi needed only 30 seconds to knock the living lights out of Bubba McDaniel at BKFC 31. Things happened so fast but in second look, it was Camozzi’s short counter right hand that put his fellow ex-UFC fighter to sleep.
That was quick
Both Camozzi and McDaniel came in ready to have an all-out war in their bare-knuckle debut at BKFC 31. The bout took place at the 1st Bank Center in Denver and it didn’t last long. Camozzi and McDaniel went at it early in the fight and after a quick exchange, “The Menace” lost power in his legs and fell down.
McDaniel struggled to get back to his feet, prompting the referee in charge to waive it off. Camozzi was then declared the winner via first-round knockout.

What a debut
Camozzi did not fail to deliver in his BKFC debut. The 35-year-old has competed in various MMA promotions, including ACA and PFL. He also had a short stint at Glory kickboxing before making his presence felt at BKFC. In the UFC, Camozzi fought 19 times before parting ways with the promotion in 2017 following three consecutive losses.
McDaniel, on the other hand, has been inactive for three long years before making his BKFC debut. He had three fights under the UFC banner and officially left the company in 2014. Since then, McDaniel competed in several MMA promotions, including Bellator before giving kickboxing a go in 2019.
Is BKFC the right platform for Camozzi and McDaniel at this point? Let’s wait and see.
