  • Ex-UFC contender Alan Belcher scored a stunning 1st round KO win over Frank Tate
  • The punch saw Tate ejecting an insane amount of saliva
  • The 38-year-old is likely to get a title shot next

Alan Belcher only needed 81 seconds to establish himself as one of the best bare-knuckle fighters in the world. The former UFC middleweight stunned everyone tuning in on BKFC Fight Night: Jackson 2 as he savagely knocked Frank Tate out in the first round of their main event heavyweight clash.

What’s even more shocking was that Belcher’s punch must’ve been really hard as it saw Tate discharging an excessive amount of saliva as he hit the ground.

Belcher’s win over Tate was already his second KO finish under the BKFC banner, having dismantled Bobo O’Bannon earlier this year. He has now gone unbeaten in his first three fights in the promotion and is now edging closer to a crack at the BKFC heavyweight belt.

Everything played out as planned

Speaking about his brutal KO win after the fight, Belcher boasted that he had already that “overhand right” and he landed it perfectly.

“The plan was to stay low and land the overhand right which knocked him out,” Belcher said post-fight. “I have knockout power and I’m the best bare-knuckle fighter in the world.”

Belcher got the champ’s word

Reigning BKFC heavyweight champion Arnold “Bomaye” Adams was ringside in the commentary table when Belcher knocked the living lights out of Tate.

As expected, Adams commented on the UFC veteran’s case for being his next title challenger.

“I said if Belcher gets past Tate, he’s next,” Adams said. “So let’s do it.”

Belcher has really found a new lease on life at BKFC and now that he has gotten a nod from Adams, it is very likely that the next time the pair meets is when they go toe-to-toe for the belt.
