Jake Paul has teamed up with Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street to work on a feature film that aspiring combat sports fighters and fans would relate to. Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street announced that they are set to work hand in hand with “The Problem Child” in the entire project.
A new chapter
In a press release, Paul, who ended his unbeaten boxing run with a split decision loss to Tommy Fury in February, proudly expressed his excitement in embarking on “a new chapter” in his career.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Mandalay Pictures and Wonder Street on my first feature film project,” the YouTuber-turned-boxer said. “Both companies have proven track records of producing high-quality content that resonates with audiences, and I couldn’t be more excited to work with such talented and experienced teams. As someone who has always believed in pushing boundaries and taking risks, I can’t wait to bring this unique story and my brand to the big screen. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my career.”

A very fitting theme
The film will center on the story of a youngster from a small town who tirelessly works his way into the world of combat sports. Needless to say, it significantly resembles the journey of Paul and how he broke into the boxing scene.
According to co-producer and Mandalay’s David Zelon and executive producer Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s massive and undeniable success makes him a perfect fit for the project. The pair also shared the same sentiments about Paul’s character which truly resonates with audiences across the board.
